About the Team**Yahoo’s Global Network Infrastructure team (GNIS) is responsible for the core Network Infrastructure and shared services required to support all Yahoo services globally, including our CDN, Sports, News, Finance and Weather media channels, advertising engines, video and search. We design and build scalable, high-performance networks, provide long-term storage strategy and automation, manage global name resolution and routing, provide capacity and performance consultation for Yahoo properties, manage Yahoo-wide UNIX distributions & components and connectivity to large scale public cloud providers.
About the Role**Yahoo’s Network team is looking for a technical engineer to build and maintain its global infrastructure. This person will work with internal and external customers to gather requirements, provide guidance and network support. This position requires a highly technical person that has a deep understanding of network protocols, security, good operational experience and the ability to isolate, analyze and resolve issues.
