About the Role:
The San Francisco Giants are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, dynamic Manager, Business Development & Partnerships, who will be responsible for driving net new sponsorship and partnership revenue for Mission Rock and Giants Enterprises (GE) properties. This role will ensure dedicated focus on emerging opportunities beyond the core San Francisco Giants business, while coordinating with partnership and activation teams to deliver best-in-class client experiences.  The ideal candidate must bring a healthy roster of senior-level relationships along with a successful track record of prospecting, fostering, and selling, long-term partnerships.  This role will be responsible for cultivating leads, developing targeted marketing proposals, securing new partnerships, and retaining and growing existing accounts.  
 
Key Role Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development
·       Identify, build, and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospective partners that align with the programs & sponsor opportunities across Mission Rock events, venues, and specialized programming (e.g., pickleball, dog shows, Pier 48 activations).
·       Sell Giants Enterprises events (e.g., Ballpark Back 9, Giants Race, other public properties) where incremental sponsor opportunities exist.
·       Leverage Giants’ corporate network while expanding into new verticals and brands.
·       Work closely with the marketing, sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership agreements. 
·       Draft, review and execute Letters of Agreements (LOA’s) and contracts.  
·       Maintain account receivables & CRM systems to ensure payments & contacts are up to date.
·       Own an annual revenue target tied to Mission Rock & Giants Enterprises assets.
 
Partner Activation & Servicing
·       Collaborate with all internal (Giants Enterprises, Mission Rock, Partnerships) and external (Port of San Francisco, etc.) teams to deliver on all sold sponsorship deliverables.
·       Maintain strong post-sale relationships and ensure partnerships deliver measurable ROI for brands.
·       Attend Mission Rock and Giants Enterprises planning meetings to stay embedded in upcoming programming and event opportunities.
·       Serve as the point person/expert on Mission Rock & GE properties within the Partnerships department.
·       Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, new programs, and innovative solutions.
·       Track and analyze the performance of partnerships and provide regular reports to partners highlighting key metrics, successes, and areas for improvement.
 
Qualifications:
·       Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or partnership experience (sports, entertainment, venue, or brand-side preferred).
·       Proven ability to sell sponsorships and hit revenue targets.
·       Experience in activation and client servicing, ideally a hybrid seller-servicer.
·       Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. 
·       Excellent communication skills to work effectively and efficiently with all departments throughout the organization to execute all partner assets
·       Results-driven, proactive, and innovative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
·       Strong organizational skills and being very detail oriented is a must.
·       Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Slack and CRM software (Salesforce, Tableau). Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
