About the Role
The San Francisco Giants are seeking a part-time Promotions and Special Events Intern to support the planning and execution of promotional nights and special events during the 2026 season. This role offers hands-on experience in live event operations, partner coordination, and cross-functional marketing support. The intern will report to the Manager of Promotions and Special Events and work closely with the Senior Coordinator & Coordinator of Promotions and Special Events as well as internal stakeholders across the organization. This position is based at Oracle Park (24 Willie Mays Plaza, San Francisco).

· You will support specific special events, assisting with planning, execution, and post-event follow-up
· You will assist the Manager and Coordinator with the build-out of event timelines, run of show documents, and day-of logistics
· You will collaborate with the Senior Coordinator on pre-marketing efforts for events, including shipping marketing materials and coordinating communications with external organizations and partners
· You will support inventory management for Promotions and Special Events, including partnering with the Senior Coordinator and Coordinator on the organization and management of on-site and off-site storage
· You will collaborate with the Senior Coordinator on the creation of recap decks for events and promotions, including compiling assets, key highlights, and post-event insights
· You will act as a primary point of contact for assigned community partners, vendors, and entertainment groups, helping ensure a smooth and positive experience
· You will collaborate with the in-game entertainment and marketing teams to execute pre-game and in-game activations
· You will support outreach efforts to engage new performance groups, community organizations, and marketing partners for promotions and special events
· You will support game-day operations for promotional and special event nights and assist with evolving needs as timelines shift
· You will help maintain and update department files, contact lists, and vendor information to ensure accuracy and organization
Qualifications
· Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate within the past 24 months
· 1–2 years of experience supporting events, marketing activations, or live programming (professional, academic, or volunteer experience accepted)
· This position requires in-office attendance for all event days during the season. Work location for non-event days (in-person or remote) will be determined following each homestand.
· Ability to work approximately 30 hours per week from March through October, including nights, weekends, and all Giants home games
· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage information, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned responsibilities
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organization professionally with partners and vendors
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipate next steps, and adapt quickly when priorities or timelines change
· Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to work collaboratively across teams and maintain positive working relationships with staff, partners, and fans
