Playtika is seeking a privacy & digital regulations counsel to join our legal department and be part of a rapidly growing tech company. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve supporting Playtika’s global privacy and regulatory compliance efforts and helping to further mature and create sustainability for Playtika’s privacy program as well as dealing with additional digital regulatory matters such as online safety, consumer protection and more.
This position suits a talented, highly motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative environment. A successful candidate will have knowledge in global data protection laws as well as technology (mobile applications, SAAS systems and the ad-tech ecosystem) and experience in turning legal requierments into practical advice and actionable guidance, while partnering closely with business teams.
In this challenging position, you will be part of Playtika’s Legal & Compliance Department and advise the company’s business units worldwide. The Privacy & regulatory Counsel will report to the Senior privacy counsel. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in a highly professional and dynamic environment where your work will have a direct impact on our business.
· Work directly with Playtika’s business teams/studios and sites world-wide to advise on wide variety of privacy, online safety, consumer protection, age assurance and other regulatory matters.
· Draft, review and support negotiations relating to the privacy aspects of a wide variety of commercial contracts with the company's international suppliers.
· Draft, review and support data protection risks assessment (DPIAs) and legitimate interest assessments (LIAs) and help maintain and operate a record of processing activities (ROPA).
· Develop strong understanding of the company’s business and provide timely, practical, business-oriented legal advice and recommendations to the business units.
· Monitor and provide guidance on applicable laws and the best industry practices.
· Develop and maintain business processes and internal policies to help support ongoing privacy and regulatory compliance.
· Take part in the legal and business decision-making processes across the Playtika group.
· Lead cross functional projects involving legal and various business units.
· Qualified lawyer. Position is based in the Israeli HQ.
· Minimum 3 years of privacy & regulatory legal experience, such as working in an international Privacy, Hi-Tech, or TMT department of a leading law firm in Israel, or as an in-house lawyer in a legal department of a global B2C Hi-Tech company.
· High level of professionalism, analytical, detail oriented, multi-tasking capabilities and 'can do' attitude - ability to manage, prioritize and support multiple matters simultaneously for different stakeholders.
· Ability to independently review, and negotiate the privacy aspects of commercial and technology related agreements (data processing agreements, services agreements, licensing agreements, outsourcing agreements, consulting agreements, NDA) with minimal support.
· Experience advising on laws relating to online and mobile applications, consumer protection, ecommerce, user generated content, such as Digital Services Act in the EU and Online Safety Act in the UK and others – an advantage.
· Ability to independetly work with business units on implementation of company policies and the ongoing monitoring of compliance.
· Native-level or mother tongue command of English. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English- a must.
· Background in consumer-facing tech and/or digital media. Knowledge of how mobile applications and the ad-tech industry work in terms of data flows and technology – an advantage.
· Experience in advising online gaming companies – an advantage.
