Job Description

Would you like to upgrade the animation systems powering Bungie’s next great game? Do you enjoy working with animators and empowering them with tools to build new experiences? As a Senior Animation Engineer at Bungie, you’ll help build the roadmap for our animation technology, driving investments in smoother workflows, new capabilities, and features that delight millions of players.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with art, design, and engineering to create novel animation behaviors 
Update and document workflows for animators creating new content both on the player and AI side
Uphold animation budgets and performance goals across multiple platforms
Build new core features in the animation system

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in C++ 
Proficiency in 3D math, data structures, and algorithms 
Proven experience building and maintaining modern video game animation systems
Ability to diagnose and address performance bottlenecks in animation and gameplay code 
Ability to communicate with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate technology and achieve their goals

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

Experience with modular character systems
Experience with networked animation 
Familiarity with C#

Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly).

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$162,000—$191,000 USD

Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:

20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked

Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.
