IN A NUTSHELL
As our new Team Lead Design (f/m/x), you will shape and evolve the visual identity of BRAINEFFECT across all channels while leading a growing team of creative professionals.
This is your chance to step into a highly strategic and innovative role where performance-driven design meets AI-powered workflows. With a strong understanding of branding and conversion, you'll drive visual excellence across digital and physical touchpoints, scaling our creative processes for rapid growth in the D2C and retail space.
YOUR TASKS
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 designers (graphic design, UX, packaging/print) and manage freelancers.
- Translate business objectives into scalable and high-performing creative strategies.
- Define and implement brand and design guidelines across digital and physical formats.
- Oversee the production of all digital assets (social ads, banners, landing pages, video content).
- Collaborate on UX/UI development for onsite experience with product and growth teams.
- Manage D2C and B2B packaging projects including art direction for photoshoots.
- Champion data-driven design decisions and use analytics to inform visual direction.
- Evaluate and integrate AI tools into daily design workflows (e.g., Midjourney, ChatGPT).
- Streamline creative operations through structured processes and tool implementation.
- Serve as a sparring partner on packaging design and print collateral.
YOUR PROFILE
- 5+ years of design experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Background in e-commerce, agency or start-up environments; ideally food or cosmetics.
- Fluent in English, conversational German (min. B2 level) a plus.
- Skilled with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Asana, and generative AI tools.
- Strong project management capabilities and experience juggling multiple priorities.
- Conversion-focused mindset with a good grasp of digital and performance marketing.
- Confident communicator and motivator, extroverted and proactive in leadership.
- Passionate about mentoring, improving processes, and fostering team growth.
- Analytical thinker with strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Digital Asset Management tools (e.g., Bynder, Frontify).
- Understanding of video production and editing for paid social is a plus.
