- Own full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles and teams, focusing on attracting high-quality talent across various disciplines.
- Work with strategic partners in the People function and across teams to ensure a seamless, efficient, positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Build and maintain a network of candidates through various sourcing strategies.
- Contribute to efforts to build and enhance our employer brand, ensuring we are recognized as a competitive, unique place to work.
- Work closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, job specifications, and team culture to ensure alignment, while also collaborating with other team members on our process.
- Support the collection and organization of accurate recruitment data to help inform insights on hiring trends and key metrics.
- Deliver a consistently excellent candidate experience, providing clear communication, timely feedback, and a transparent, culturally-aligned hiring process.
- Remain current on industry trends, technologies, and competitive hiring strategies.
- Work with the People Team and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding, helping new team members feel prepared and welcomed.
- Contribute to evolving our recruiting practices and participate in team-wide projects and process improvements
- Actively participate in our lean, flexible team; doing whatever is needed to keep the broader People team moving forward smoothly.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, previous experience in the gaming or tech industries as a full-cycle technical recruiter is highly preferred.
- Experience with talent acquisition software such as Rippling Recruiting, Greenhouse, or Lever.
- Familiarity with applicant assessment tools and interview techniques used in the gaming and tech industries.
- Experience as a full-cycle recruiter for remote or globally distributed teams.
- Knowledge of compensation trends and the ability to discuss and negotiate compensation packages.
- Experience with various sourcing tools, ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), and job boards, as well as social media recruiting (LinkedIn, GitHub, BuiltIn, etc…).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated application of reducing bias in recruitment practices and decision-making.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications & Skills
- A genuine passion and/or interest in Chess and the gaming industry, with an understanding of the skills and qualifications required for various roles in game development and related fields.
- Experience with labor laws, sponsorships, and global contract hiring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
