Role Overview:

As a Senior Vendor Analyst, you will be supporting the Vendor Manager in setting goals and strategies. The role includes leading complex vendor evaluations, being involved in negotiating contracts, and overseeing the implementation of vendor-related strategies. The Senior role also involves mentoring junior team members and ensuring that vendor management practices align with the overall business objectives.

What you'll be doing:

- Vendor Research and Allocation:

  • Assist when required with research, comparison and evaluation of vendor capabilities
  • PlayStation Studios QA service requirements gathering
  • Work closely with Vendor Manager to assign vendors to projects according to business needs and goals
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging vendor technologies that could benefit PlayStation Studios
  • Analyse market conditions to identify potential new vendors and opportunities for collaboration

- Vendor Performance Evaluations and Reporting:

  • Coordinate piloting and evaluation of new vendor's performance
  • Coordinate the capture, compilation and recording of vendor performance evaluations
  • Provide performance evaluation feedback to vendors post project

- Security Auditing and Compliance:

  • Assist Lead Vendor Analyst with completion of loan and non-disclosure agreements in relation to services provided to PlayStation Studios QA
  • Assist when needed in virtual or in person vendor site visits, security auditing and report distribution

- Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to notify of changes and capture issues
  • Document, maintain and distribute to vendors PlayStation Studios QA requirements and guidelines
  • Assist with the resolution of any vendor related queries or issues
  • Assist with the provision of PlayStation Studios tool and process training to vendors
  • Assist with the provision of vendor utilisation training to PlayStation Studios QA Test Leads

- Team Coordination:

  • Facilitate weekly internal Vendor Management meetings to capture updates and changes
  • Provision training to secondments and/or new starters within Vendor Management
  • Communication with various SIE departments, studios and PlayStation Studios QA counterparts worldwide
  • Contributing to budget forecasts and updating team presentation slide by tracking and obtaining different data points

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in Vendor Management, QA, or related fields within the technology or gaming industry
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse vendors and internal teams
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a team, both in person and virtually
  • Positive attitude and ability to cope with changing environment
  • Comfortable in working within deadlines and timelines
  • Willingness to adapt and adopt new processes and functions
  • Proficiency in project management to oversee vendor-related projects effectively
  • Understanding of global business practices and cultural nuances when working with international vendors and partners
