Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer (Core Gameplay) to work on World of Warships in our Belgrade office.   

World of Warships is the best naval game around, letting you take the command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way across the open sea with other players.   

The project is driven by a team of international developers who combine talent with their passion for video games, resulting in World of Warships being a favorite hobby for millions all around the globe with keeping its community ever-growing!   

What will you do?

• Create new gameplay mechanics (weapons, game modes, events, matchmaking, etc.)
• Develop a solution architecture
• Collaborate with game designers, UI developers, sound designers in creating AAA user experience 
• Develop and improve gameplay logic code base in Core gameplay 

What are we looking for?

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial development   
• Good knowledge of Python   
• System design experience
• Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms  
• Understanding of OOP  
• Ability to understand other people's code  
• Desire to work in the gaming industry  
• English – B2 and higher  

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Basic knowledge of С/С++  
• Knowledge of Math’s  
• Experience with game engines   

Work mode

Hybrid (3 days of work from the office)
