The Zynga BuildTech team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to design, deploy and maintain centralized build & release pipelines that provide teammates with fresh mobile builds to increase their productivity. You will work closely with other incredible professionals inside game teams and your solutions will empower the workflow of their processes. The right candidate for this position will be an experienced cloud AWS systems engineer with solid understanding of modern infrastructure as code and configuration as code practices. They will have the ability to successfully drive adoption/support of shared tools and frameworks across multiple teams and support multiple platforms which are unique to building and testing games.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deploy and maintain centralized tools and engineering infrastructure, including CICD platforms, build farms, SCM systems, package management, and code review tools
• Ensure the automation and delivery of required projects
• Verify the security and integrity of the infrastructure
• Maintain crucial skills in modern technology/standards and use automation whenever possible
• Establish testing and reporting methods that drive critical metrics for system performance
• Communicate with internal customers and game teams to understand system requirements
• Propose improvements to system architecture and drive automation efforts
• Update and maintain documentation/runbooks
• using infrastructure as code and configuration as code; participate in design/code reviews, measure code coverage, assess overall system quality, and ensure the effectiveness
• Root cause and resolve problems with automated systems and deployments
• Collaborate with internal customers to troubleshoot issues, improve stability, push adoption and support of automation frameworks as part of their development/release pipeline including how they will integrate into current and evolving infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Motivated, not afraid of learning new technologies
• 6+ years of working experience
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with provisioning solutions (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code mindsets
• AWS services knowledge
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• You are able to explain technical issues to both technical & non-technical audience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills when managing and responding to customer tickets

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Unity build process knowledge
• Apple toolchain knowledge (XCode, provisioning profiles)
• Systems engineering and administration experience in an enterprise environment for any of the following: GitHub, Perforce, Swarm, Artifactory
• Experience with multi-platform systems administration (Linux, Mac, Windows)
