The Mexico Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees in Mexico, in compliance with all local labor laws and company policies. This role requires deep expertise in Mexican payroll regulations and hands-on experience with SAP HCM (PY module) is huge plus, with a focus on payroll calculations, payroll reporting, and statutory compliance.
Process end-to-end payroll for Mexico using SAP, including:
Regular salary payments
Overtime
Bonuses, commissions, and variable pay
Final settlements (Finiquito)
Ensure compliance with IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISR, and other statutory authorities.
Maintain and reconcile payroll-related accounts; ensure accuracy of SAP payroll results.
Provide, review and validate payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, changes in compensation, leave, etc.)
Review of output provided by the outsourced payroll vendor
Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure payroll accuracy and integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
3+ years of Mexico payroll processing experience.
Experience with CFDI payroll receipts generation and submission.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Mexican labor law, social security (IMSS), and tax obligations (SAT).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting.
