SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and driven Membership Manager to drive the growth of our membership base. This role will focus on identifying, engaging, and signing up new members who are excited to take part in all that Brooklyn Wine Club has to offer while ensuring an unparalleled VIP membership experience. You will be responsible for driving attendance of Brooklyn Wine Club events, creating opportunities for prospective members to experience the club firsthand, and supporting key administrative tasks. Your efforts will play a substantial role in establishing Brooklyn Wine Club as a leading community for wine lovers.

The Membership Manager will report to the Vice President of Wine Operations, Strategy & Experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and acquire new high-net-worth accounts, meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly acquisition targets
  • Identify potential prospects through research, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospective members via personalized communication, experiences, and one-on-one interactions, representing Brooklyn Wine Club at various events to generate excitement and enthusiasm for membership.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and welcoming first point of contact for prospective members, answering inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Process new member applications and renewals, ensuring accuracy and efficiency; manage and maintain accurate member records within CRM systems.
  • Support new member onboarding by ensuring timely delivery of materials, event invitations, and relevant club information.
  • Support the VP of Wine Operations, Strategy & Experiences in designing campaigns that highlight the benefits of membership and drive event attendance.
  • Assist with member and event communications, ensuring clarity and engagement across various touchpoints, including email, social media, and in-person interactions.
  • Provide insights and feedback on membership and event attendance trends to help refine acquisition, retention and marketing strategies.
  • Support the execution of events for Brooklyn Wine Club, from pre-event planning to onsite coordination and post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless experiences for attendees.
  • Manage event logistics, including ticketing, run-of-show documentation, vendor and partner coordination, and other related tasks to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Oversee administrative aspects of membership and events, such as updating the website with event details, tracking attendance, and processing registrations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Five years of experience in the hospitality / wine industries, with a strong understanding of wine culture and trends.
  • Proven success in sales, business development, or membership acquisition, ideally within hospitality, luxury goods, or lifestyle brands.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills; able to engage diverse audiences and foster long-term connections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and managing customer databases; Salesforce experience preferred.

SALARY RANGE

$100,000 - $115,000 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based in our corporate headquarters in Brooklyn and requires flexibility to support events that may occur in the evenings, weekends, or holidays.
