Hims & Hers is seeking an outstanding Managing Counsel, Privacy/AI to join our growing, collaborative Legal team. You will lead our privacy and AI legal functions to continue efforts to build our governance program and provide teams from across the company with actionable legal advice on various state and federal consumer and health privacy and AI laws, rules, and regulations impacting the products and services offered through Hims & Hers. You will get to work on interesting and novel issues that arise from the intersection of healthcare, technology, and e-commerce.

You Will:

  • Lead the Company's privacy compliance program, which will include managing a team of legal privacy experts to develop strategic and actionable compliance strategies

  • Guide the development of the Company’s AI program to address new and evolving state consumer and healthcare-related privacy and AI requirements and best practices

  • Partner closely with our marketing, product and engineering teams to provide balanced and consistent legal guidance

  • Provide strategic counsel to our Government Affairs team to inform and shape the Company’s legislative efforts by providing subject matter expertise to support the review of proposed laws, rules, and regulations impacting the business

  • Develop and maintain privacy and AI trainings to help educate employees on how to protect company and customer data

  • Maintain subject matter expertise regarding state and federal privacy laws, including regulatory actions

  • Mentor and manage a team of privacy counsel and legal professionals, contributing to a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional growth

You Have:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction

  • 12+ years practicing at a law firm, government, or in-house with 5+ years of advising on privacy-related issues and 2+ years or advising on AI-related matters

  • 2+ years of management experience with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing legal professionals, demonstrating strong leadership and a track record of building and retaining effective teams

  • Subject matter expert on healthcare and consumer privacy and AI laws and regulations

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based partnerships with business leadership and legal peers

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated time management, project prioritization, and management skills
