Job Overview

Wargaming is seeking to hire a Localization Specialist/Translator RU-EN (Native English speaker) to join the Localization & Documentation Department, which is responsible for localizing all the company's products and engaging with a large player community in their native languages.

Localization and cultural adaptation of games, apps, and websites form the backbone of our work. Our task is to communicate in the players' languages while considering the specifics of each region.

Reports to

Localization Team Lead

What will you do?

  • Analyze Russian texts and localize them into English

  • Proofread English texts

  • Plan, organize, and oversee localization into other languages

  • Cooperate with other teams and offices to prepare localized assets

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of experience as a translator/localization specialist/editor

  • Native English speaker

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken Russian

  • Education in linguistics or language studies

  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and its specialized terminology

  • Experience working on a team to solve tasks together

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience working in the gaming industry

  • Experience in writing various types of content (fictional, technical, advertising, informational, motivational, UI/UX, etc.)

  • Knowledge of TMS/localization tools (Smartcat, MemoQ, Phrase, Trados, etc.)

Work mode

  • Hybrid (2 days of work from the office)

  • This role isn't eligible for relocation support
