Betsson Group is currently seeking a dedicated Ice Hockey Sports Trader to join our industry-leading sportsbook team based in St Julian’s, Malta. This is a unique chance to break into one of the most dynamic and fast-paced industries—iGaming—while living in one of Europe’s sunniest locations, the global hub of sports betting.

As part of our Ice Hockey & US Sports Trading Team—a collaborative unit of approximately 10 traders—you’ll play a key role in trading matches from top leagues across the globe. The position offers variety, excitement, and a clear path for professional growth in a world-class company.

We offer a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work (2 days/week) with the camaraderie and culture of our modern Malta-based office (3 days/week).

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and trade pre-match and live odds for Ice Hockey events globally
• Create and manage player special markets
• Settle markets accurately and efficiently
• Monitor and analyze customer activity, reporting findings to the Customer Risk team
• Manage risk by observing market movement and reacting in real-time
• Liaise with 3rd-party trading providers to ensure optimal trading performance
• Resolve technical, settlement, or operational issues promptly
• Occasionally trade other sports including American Football, F1, Baseball, and MMA
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously enhance the sportsbook offering

What we’re looking for

• Deep knowledge and passion for NHL and European Ice Hockey leagues
• Understanding of sports odds, statistics, and probabilities
• Prior experience with 3rd-party trading tools is an advantage
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable working under pressure and making swift decisions
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a high level of self-motivation
• Flexibility to work during evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Based in Malta or willing to relocate (relocation support provided)
