The role:

People Operations are the first point of contact for employees, after their manager, regarding company policy, practice and procedure.

The Head of US People Operations will lead a team responsible for the following:

  • HR Systems: Work closely & collaborate with IT and HR teams to optimize HR systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity. Stay updated with emerging HR technologies and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Payroll: Aid in the process of submitting, bi-weekly,  multi-state payroll. Configure Workday to ensure all payroll tasks run smoothly. Liaison with accounting for mapping payroll to the right accounts. Ensure Benefits and Payroll move together for a seamless employee experience. 
    • International: Preparation of any necessary HR data monthly payrolls
  • HR Review Process: Work with applicable parties to complete the review process. 
  • Employee Data Management: Ensure accurate and confidential handling of employee data and other HR-related data. Ensure data privacy and security protocols in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to generate reports and provide insights to HR leaders and other stakeholders. Prepare regular reports on HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making and improve HR processes and initiatives.
  • Compliance and Legal Requirements: Stay up to date with employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure HR operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations Support: Collaborate with HR Business Partners and other HR teams to provide support in employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with HR vendors, such as payroll providers, benefits administrators, background check providers, and HR consultants. Ensure effective communication, monitor service levels, and negotiate contracts to ensure the organization receives quality services at competitive prices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within HR operations. Streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and leverage technology to drive operational effectiveness and enhance the employee experience.
  • Reorganisations: Local execution of headcount reductions or changes within statutory process requirements to maintain legal compliance

  • System requirements: in-depth/expert knowledge of Workday HCM, WorkDay Payroll and payroll implementation, US benefits design & administration

The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary of $130,000 up to $200,000 per annum depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
