Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
Due to the nature of Formula 1 operations, you may be required to work some weekends and outside standard hours when business demands require it.
Responsible for ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and procedures, while facilitating the efficient and timely movement of goods across international borders to ensure a smooth global operations and minimize delays in our supply chain.
Main Duties:
Manage all customs operations, including reviewing export and import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK and international customs regulations
Prepare and review import/export documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and audit customs entries and declarations to identify and correct discrepancies
Where required record and resolve entry errors with customs agents or HMRC ensuring outstanding duties and VAT is accounted for or overpayments reclaimed
Maintain accurate records for all customs transactions, ensuring the required documentation is retained and internal freight registers are updated
Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to resolve issues and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on customs procedures and best practices.
Assign and maintain an up-to-date register of HS tariff codes
Assist with the compliance of the Businesses customs authorisations, inward processing, outward processing, temporary admissions, customs warehousing
Support internal audits and risk assessments related to customs compliance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations and customs requirements
Assist in maintaining the Known Consignor Security programme and ongoing compliance checks

Core Competencies:
Proven experience in customs compliance, international trade, or logistics.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and trade compliance standards.
Familiarity with customs documentation
Strong planning and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
