About the Internship

Deep Blue is seeking a part-time Content & Social Media Intern to join our growing team this Winter/Spring season.

The ideal candidate is a women’s sports enthusiast with interest in joining the first firm exclusively dedicated to driving commercial investment to and creating growth opportunities in women’s sports. Whether you play sports or enjoy watching them, you know what it means to be a team player and are ready to roll up your sleeves to help amplify case studies, ideas, insights and more through content creation and social amplification across our owned and operated platforms. 

The candidate should be familiar with regular use of leading social platforms, in particular LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, with understanding of effective formats, latest trends and operational needs of each, including experience creating and posting content. 

We are looking for self-starters and lifelong learners who are hand-raisers and question-askers who do not shy away from being involved in all facets of a project. Our “Sharks” - as Deep Blue teammates are affectionately known as - are comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Our team is based in NYC and works in a hybrid fashion, in-office two (2) days a week. We are open to remote work for this role. 

We anticipate this role will be up to 20 hours per week. Deep Blue will be closed December 22, 2025 - January 2, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage Deep Blue’s social strategy and content creation across owned channels
    • Primary platforms: LinkedIn and Instagram 
    • Launch TikTok
  • Help build a regular cadence on DB’s social channels around thought leadership, company announcements, and other tbd content themes
  • Concept and produce/edit posts and short-form video for DB channels
  • Write and optimize social content / copy 
  • Conduct social channel performance reports 
  • Track and share trends, insights, and social platform updates with the team
  • Contribute to bi-weekly company newsletter and website content management, where applicable
  • Additional design / content creation may extend to presentation-building (creating slide templates, sourcing images, deck design cleanup), event invitations and other miscellaneous needs

Requirements

  • Self-starter with ability to manage up and against deadlines 
  • Passion and desire to ideate, makes recommendations and lead in creating social-first content relative to women’s sports thought leadership 
  • Foundational experience writing copy and eager to learn how to assume company’s tone of voice and desired aesthetic 
  • Design experience on social media platforms, ideally including making format, production and other relevant recommendations to enhance effectiveness of engagement 
  • Experience with editing photo/video content for social-first channels 
  • Experience working with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and Canva 
  • Experience designing newsletter templates, event graphics / splash pages and other miscellaneous corporate collateral needs a plus

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $18.00-$20.00. The rate is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and job duties.
