Position Overview
As Director of Virtual Care, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and leading our virtual care services. You will oversee our large and scaling virtual care NP workforce, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, and an outstanding patient experience. This role blends strategic leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on clinical guidance as we expand virtual primary care services nationwide.
This position is remote, with occasional travel (less than 10%) as needed.
Virtual Care Operations & Clinical LeadershipLead the development, implementation, and management of virtual care programs both existing and new (e.g., virtual wellness visits, remote assessments, etc.).Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics for virtual care delivery (utilization, patient outcomes, satisfaction, documentation quality, compliance).Oversee clinical workflows, scheduling, capacity planning, and provider coverage across virtual care operations.Ensure state and federal compliance (scope of practice, telehealth regulations, HIPAA, etc.) and maintain licensure standards across multi-state operations where applicable.
Team Management & Provider OversightManage, mentor, and support a remote team of Managers and Nurse Practitioners delivering virtual care.Ensure adherence to accurate documentation practices, HCC coding standards, and risk-adjustment requirements across virtual care services.Oversee provider onboarding, ongoing training, performance assessments, documentation quality, risk-adjustment or coding standards (if applicable), and professional development.Facilitate regular 1:1s, team meetings, feedback, and coaching to maintain high clinical standards and team engagement.Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to address clinical issues, escalations, and continuous improvement.
