CID is responsible for collaborating with Pre-Sales to consult on solutions, Operations to support project setup and output review, and, most importantly, Clients to recommend survey or study set-up and design and deliver results and insights for Campaign Analytics (CA) solutions. For a specific engagement, CID will work directly with prospective/clients and Nielsen Sales associates to design CA solutions to meet clients’ needs and bring the study to fruition, complete with insights and context about the environment in which the study took place.
 

Responsibilities

  • Build trust-based relationships with CA Clients, Sales, Research, Operations/Support teams, Product, and DSci. 

  • Partner with Sales to help present solutions that allow clients to grow their business via CA solutions; be the Product expert able to address in-depth methodology and execution questions

  • Translate high-level business problems into specific CA solvable questions that leverage Nielsen's unique benefits. 

  • Be the subject matter expert on Nielsen’s CA solutions; explain results with a basis in the analytical methodology underlying the measurement. Have an in-depth, technical knowledge of CA solutions, all the drivers, and input requirements. Leverage technical product knowledge to assess the feasibility of client requests accurately and how our products can be used to improve business performance specific to unique client needs. 

  • Support client teams through designing, executing, and presenting results. Ensure proactive insights and action-oriented solutions are delivered to the Client by being an expert with the ability to explain the detailed methodology behind client results, report results, provide advice and recommendations, and present to the client in a clear, insightful manner

  • Partner and collaborate with Product and Technology teams on innovative solutions/enhancements to current CA solutions and product offerings. Investigate when issues are discovered and proactively work to help find the root cause and resolve them with the appropriate parties

  • Create detailed research analyses focused on the effectiveness and efficiency of advertising using established test vs. control methodology to determine the lift driven by the measured campaigns.  Perform rigorous quality assurance checks on test setup, data quality, and presentation materials to ensure that best practices are being followed

  • Maintain accurate records of study timelines, completed milestones, and presentation dates, and stay in regular communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure all are kept up to date on status and timelines

  • Act as an internal champion for the client by working collaboratively with internal partners and the team to coordinate efforts for clients where appropriate: project specifications, pipeline management, and other support tasks.  

  • Stay current on industry and digital advertising ecosystem knowledge (e.g., trades & publications, internal white papers, etc). 

  • As required, be a leader on the team and mentor more junior associates through coaching, mirroring, and training. 

Qualifications
  • 8+ years in analytics and/or media or marketing planning
  • 1+  years experience with Syndicated data sets such as Nielsen IQ and/or IRI a strong plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Media and advertising industry knowledge
  • Ability to grasp new concepts easily and be able to present them in a simplified manner to clients 
  • Stats background a plus
  • Technical proficiency in Office/Google Suite of software solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A drive to solve difficult challenges, both intellectual and practical
  • Ability to train junior team members to proactively identify project issues and encourage them to find innovative solutions
  • Must have a team-based, collaborative, and growth-oriented attitude
  • Ability to execute and oversee multiple projects at high-quality level, error-free, and on time 
  • Ability to build and refine processes to work as efficiently and effectively for the team as possible
