Scopely is looking for a Business Analyst, Ad Monetization, to join our Global Advertising team in Barcelona on a flexible hybrid basis!

The Advertising team oversees our games' overall Ads operations, strategy, and product offerings. The team collaborates with our product, sales, revenue operations and other teams to help improve campaign strategy, execution and analysis.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze ad performance and player behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and strategic improvements.
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into ad monetization trends and KPIs, turning data into actionable insights that influence product and revenue strategy.
  • Design, monitor, and interpret A/B tests and experiments to evaluate new ad features or monetization approaches.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to translate analytical findings into product improvements and innovative ad experiences.
  • Exhibit sound Ad product judgment, advise on industry standard processes, present clear measurable objectives that will lead to achieving our business goals.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that help stakeholders track performance and guide decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance and Product teams to ensure forecast accuracy and data consistency across systems.
  • Partner with our Product Development team to build innovative advertising solutions that enhance the ads user experience and engagement rate.
  • Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making through structured storytelling and data-evidence-based recommendations.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis or Ad monetization, ideally in the gaming or mobile app ecosystem.
  • Solid technical foundation: proficient in SQL and comfortable working with data models and visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong business acumen - you understand how ad metrics tie into player experience, revenue strategy, and long-term growth.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Confident communicator who can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of ad tech and monetization mechanics (mediation, programmatic, rewarded video, SSPs/DSPs).
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, experimentation design, and statistical concepts.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Passion for mobile gaming and curiosity about the evolving world of in-game advertising.
