WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per weekPosition Summary  As the NBA enters a new frontier with its media rights, this position will play a critical role in developing both existing and new broadcasting partnerships with a focus on enhancing both the linear and digital presentations of all content, shows, and games.   Major Responsibilities Lead a team charged with managing game and studio production relationships with all TV, audio, and immersive broadcasting partners. Contribute to a cross-functional team responsible for onboarding new broadcasting partners into the NBA, WNBA, and G League.  Work closely on all talent-related matters, including approvals and recommendations for relevant broadcast partners. Oversee the process to implement new rules and strategies with internal and external committees that help both protect and enhance broadcast presentations. Develop the strategy and oversee the execution of broadcast production alongside internal stakeholders and partners for key NBA and WNBA events, including All-Star Weekend, NBA Cup, Play-in, and Summer League. Lead efforts to identify and test linear and digital broadcast technology as part of efforts to evolve the presentations of our games. Develop strategy for formats, creative, and marketing efforts alongside Programming and Live Production for all related network events. Play a critical role in growing vendor relationships with broadcast entities that partner with the NBA in production-related matters.   Required Skills/Knowledge Significant experience working alongside established broadcast partners, preferably with league or team ties. Deep understanding of sports production business, both from an above-the-line and below-the-line perspective. Advanced understanding of broadcast production best practices and technical standards. Ability to use viewership data to make actionable decisions. Experience managing live sports production budgets. Team builder and Team Player - ability to both lead a group of talented employees and function as part of a broader team with aggressive goals and expectations.  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage cross-functional and collaborative projects. Willingness to travel and work extended hours when live sporting events and games are played (e.g., nights, holidays, weekends).   Experience Needed At least 15 years of experience as a high-level manager or coordinator of broadcasting or production for a network, league, or sports team organization.   A minimum of 5 years of experience working on streaming or next gen broadcast projects. Multiple years of experience leading a cross-functional team BA required. A Master’s in Business Administration, Sports Administration, or Communications is a plus.   Salary Range: $225,000 - $250,000  Job Posting Title: Vice President    The NBA does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or any other third parties.
