SUMMARY

The Long Island Nets are the wholly owned and operated NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets. As a direct affiliate of the NBA franchise, the Long Island Nets provide the organization with an avenue for player and staff development in a consistent environment. The Long Island Nets have called Nassau Coliseum home since 2017.

The Account Coordinator, Sponsorship Sales & Activation will provide day-to-day support to the Partnerships team in all aspects of sponsorship fulfillment, client service, and new business development for the Long Island Nets. This position will also collaborate closely with the Ticket Sales & Service team on gamedays to assist with hospitality execution, partner activations, and general operational tasks. This is an ideal entry-level opportunity for a proactive, organized professional eager to gain hands-on experience in sports partnerships, event operations, and client management.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations.

What You Will Do

Partnership Support & Fulfillment

  • Assist the Senior Coordinator and broader Partnerships team with the planning, implementation, and recap of all sponsorship activations and contracted elements.
  • Coordinate logistics for in-arena signage, community programs, digital media, and promotional giveaways.
  • Track, maintain, and update partnership deliverables, proof-of-performance materials, and recap decks for assigned partners.
  • Support the execution of partner-related events, VIP experiences, and community activations.
  • Research prospective sponsors, compile background data, and help prepare tailored proposals and presentations.
  • Manage inventory documentation and assist with CRM data entry, contracts, and invoicing support.

Sales & Creative Support

  • Aid in the creation of sales materials including customized decks, proposal templates, and partnership one-sheets.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Marketing, Digital, Game Presentation) to ensure sponsor assets are accurately represented across all platforms.
  • Contribute ideas for new partnership categories and assist in market research and lead generation efforts.

Gameday & Hospitality Support

  • Serve as an onsite point of contact for partner hospitality spaces, ticket distribution, and VIP check-in.
  • Assist with set-up and execution of in-game promotions, concourse activations, and partner giveaways.
  • Provide additional support to the Ticket Sales team on gamedays, including group experiences, pre-game events, and client hosting.
  • Ensure all sponsor activations are executed professionally and align with the Long Island Nets’ brand standards.

Administrative & Operational Tasks

  • Manage scheduling, correspondence, and documentation for partnership meetings and deliverables.
  • Prepare materials and coordinate details for internal and external meetings.
  • Handle client requests related to tickets, merchandise, and special experiences as needed.
  • Assist with reporting, data collection, and other department projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, Communications or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant internship or professional experience in partnerships, ticket sales, marketing, or sports operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with CRM systems (KORE, Salesforce, etc.) a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and all home games.

Compensation

$62,000 - $67,000 base salary plus commission eligibility

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will work primarily at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY. This role may also require occasional hours worked at our Corporate Headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn or at Barclays Center. You will be expected to attend Long Island Nets games, as well as other community events for the Long Island Nets that may take place on weekends and/or holidays.

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
