THE TEAM AND ITS MISSION

We are a cross-functional team developing an ultra-wideband (UWB) based Local Positioning System (LPS) to enable our advanced player and ball tracking solutions. To capture and provide precise position and motion data in the sports environment, we are developing a full-stack of software components including firmware, backend and frontend applications. Joining our team, you will optimize existing backend and frontend solutions for our low latency sensor network architecture, but also create completely new KINEXON products in collaboration with your colleagues from other software and hardware departments.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As (Senior) Software Engineer in our cross-functional LPS team you will...

develop our full-stack sensor-network environment
(re)shape existing services to keep up with technologic advance
design and create software components, APIs, ... within our LPS ecosystem
implement safety mechanisms in a containerized infrastructure
enable full-stack system testing in our CI (Continuous Integration) pipelines

YOUR PROFILE

For this opportunity we are looking for someone with

Completion of a university degree or comparable qualification
At least 2-3 years of experience in Golang
Experience with REST and WebSocket based APIs
Enthusiasm in modern backend software solutions like containerization with docker and microservice architecture
Fluently in German or English

Additional nice to haves:

Experience in real-time networking and distributed systems development
Experience with other software languages: C++, Python, Java-/TypeScript, Rust
Experience with frontend e.g. HTML, Java Script and Vue.js
A history of developing Linux services and working with associated infrastructure and tooling

OUR TECH STACK

Our diverse tech stack allows us to develop robust and efficient services. Here is a breakdown of the technologies we use:
Backend: Relevant backend services are written in C++, Golang, Python, Java-/TypeScript, Rust
Frontend: Our frontend is written in TypeScript and Vue.js. To enhance performance in some components we use WebAssembly written in Rust
Testing: We run automated tests in various Gitlab CIs and use mainly the Python BDD as well as the GTest testing frameworks. Frontend testing is conducted using Cypress
