What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Lead Level Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to various aspects of game design for our collaboration with Disney. In this role, you’ll drive a team of designers to create compelling POIs and experiences for our players.

In this role, you will

Lead the vision and outcome of POIs and levels that focus on building and compelling gameplay spaces
Lead, develop, and grow the design team, enabling designers to achieve their career goals and best outcomes while also increasing the capabilities of the team
Roll up your sleeves and dive into some IC work when needed and lead by example to set the quality bar for design
Actively participate in big-picture decisions and ensure the design team focuses on the right elements to achieve superior results.
Work closely with production to identify, prioritize, assign, and evaluate design work.

What we're looking for

Minimum 7+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a level designer
2+ years of experience in a lead-level designer role, with demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team effectively
Experience using a level editor (UE5, or similar)
Direct involvement with prop placement, lighting, mood/atmosphere, and design markup
Experience working closely and communicating with artists
Demonstrated ability to improvise and creatively solve problems

California Base Pay Range

$169,829—$249,082 USD

Washington Base Pay Range

$169,829—$249,082 USD
